Jacquelyn Smith is the owner of WaywardScribe Press. Through her company, she publishes her own fantasy and mystery titles, which are available from major book retailers worldwide, as well as on her own online shop. She is the author of the World of Lasniniar epic fantasy series, the Kira Brightwell kick-ass mysteries, the Fatal Empire fantasy intrigue series, and the Mackenzie Quinn Canadian cozy mysteries. (She originally published the Kira Brightwell series under the pen name Kat Irwin before killing Kat off in an effort to avoid the many awkward questions about having multiple identities.)

Jacquelyn lives on the outskirts of Toronto, Ontario (Canada) with a cast of unforgettable fictional characters that keep her endlessly entertained. (She also lives with her husband Mark, and their feline owner Xena.)

Jacquelyn also owns and operates Wayward Creative, which provides web design and author services.
